City of bones.

My first Nightly Read, City of Bones by Cassandra Clare, gets a 4.0.

In the beginning if this book, Clary, the main character, is at a club. Everything is fine until she sees a murder, or what looks like a murder. But why is she the only one who can see it? When she gets home, her mom wants to go on vacation, but clary doesn't, and gets mad. So she goes out with her friend, Simon, and she ends up talking to one of the murderers, whos a shadowhunter, someone who fights demons to protect mundanes. When clary gets home, someone has busted into the house and her mother is gone. She gets attacked by a demon. Jace, the shadow hunter, comes and takes her to the institute, where he lives. There she is thrown into the world of the shadowhunters.

This book was cool, not awesome. It was slow at times, but I loved the action, adventure, and romance, which deserved 3.5 stars. I gave it an extra .5 for originality and creativity.

I recommend this book to fans of Supernatural, PR, and YA Romance
