Trouble with magick by Madelyn Alt took me two times to read it all the way through, but it was worth the read. I was different, since it was an adult mystery. I rate it a 4.0
The main character gets a job offer at the antique store, but turns it down. But the same day, she gets fired because she is late, so she needs a job. Just on time! She finds out her boss is a witch, who has a special room were she practices and stores her Pagan and witchcraft books. Then her boss gets questioned by the police when the witch's estranged sister is found murdered. The rest of the book is about the main character learning her boss's religion, coming to terms with her own, and finding out who he real killer is.
Anyone who likes mystery, is a Wiccan, Pagan, witch, or is a fan of Charmed will love this book.
Obsidian- Dark romance, hot aliens, action and adventure? Check, check, and check. This book has ALL those categories. It is very original with hot, human like aliens, AND romance. Sure the guy is a jerk sometimes, but who doesn't like a bad boy? I rate it 3.5.
This book starts off with a girl, Katy, moving into a not-even-on-the-map town in west Virginia with her mom. Unfortunately for her, fortunately for us, she moves in right next to "douchebag" Daemon, who has a sister, Dee. She meets him over a talk about where to buy plants, and he acts rudely to her, though it's just for show. He actually likes her. Alot of weird things start to happen when she hangs out with them, and she finds out they are actually aliens.
I suggest this book to fans of aliens, supernatural themes, and "douchebag" romance.
